Music

Janne Buurman’s musical history starts in 1961 with his first band: The Flying Saucers. Janne was thirteen years old and played drums in this schoolband.

A long list of pop groups followed: The Spectacles (all members wore glasses), Instant Music, Wham (George Michael was still in diapers), Zillion, The Tweeters, Neighbour, Balls, Hellsbells and the Bunnies, Soul Pirates.

The Dogs, Jay Bee & The Royal Family en nowadays: Jay Bee Silverfox & His Free Radicals. To begin with The Flying Saucers, he came up with all the names of of the consecutive bands, except for Zillion (Anthonie de Bruine).

Around the age of twenty he exchanged his drumsticks and his Ludwig kit for the microphone. From that moment on he became a singer-songwriter and continued to perform in that capacity untill today.

Meanwhile he registered some 120 songs with Buma/Stemra and Ascap (US).
A summary in sound and vision throughout the years illustrates this history.
